With almost one billion active user, Facebook is not doubt the most popular  site in the world. People all over the world visit Facebook for Social or Business needs. However,  a lot of time and money is wasted at workplace and in schools when people start chatting with friends at the expense of their duties. To curb this most organizations, institution have blocked Facebook access during working hours.

So what happens to the Facebook addicts?

A lot of literature exist in the internet on how to access Facebook even when its blocked. Some of the methods proposed either requires computer geeks or become limited due to the rights one has on the computer he/she is using.These articles explains three simple ways one can make it through.

1. Using Hootsuite

Hoot suite is a social media management service where one can manage most of the popular social sites such as Facebook, Twitter among others from one place. 

HootSuite services are free but one can opt for the premium version with more services.

How to connect Facebook account to Hootsuite?

The first time you connect the Facebook account to Hootsuite, you need to have access to Facebook  you can do this using modem internet or any other unrestricted internet. 

1. sign up for a new account in hootsuite.
2. click "add a new stream, select from the list and provide the login details. 

Nb: Once Hootsuite logs in, all the connected social sites connect even if they are blocked by the firewall.

• One can view his wall and that of his/ her friends
• one can add comment and also respond to others comment. 
• view all the streams he has added in one window known as the "Dashboard"

Cons

You can't have live chat  or access you Facebook inbox in Hootsuite. however, hootsuite has started what they call conversation where you can add friends and start a chart.

Using Outlook.com

Outlook is the new look of what used to be Hotmail account 

So you will have to create a new account if you don't have one. 
One the top right side there is  your name and an icon or your image if you have added one. click the icon and it will show your profile. 

Once in your profile, you can add, manage your connection. Connect your Facebook account by providing the login detail.

Once connected one can access the Facebook chat even when Facebook is blocked.

  The chat window is on the top right of the window.
